Jay Frank

Founder & CEO

Jay Frank is a seasoned asset management executive with over two decades of experience building and scaling private markets platforms across real estate, infrastructure, energy, and credit. He has led teams and built businesses responsible for more than $35 billion in capital formation and has been instrumental in launching numerous private market strategies spanning real assets, private equity, and credit solutions.

Most recently, Jay served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Distribution at Cantor Fitzgerald Asset Management, where he co-founded the business and oversaw its growth to approximately $16 billion in assets under management. During his tenure, he led a national distribution organization serving the private wealth channel and guided the development of over 80 investment strategies across the firm’s private and public platforms.

A recognized pioneer in the securitized real estate exchange industry, Jay has over 20 years of hands-on experience in tax-advantaged real estate, including Section 1031 exchanges, Tenant In Common (TIC) structures, and Section 721 UPREIT programs. He has been at the forefront of the Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) market since its inception following Revenue Ruling 2004-86, overseeing the structuring and distribution of more than 60 DST offerings with a total real estate value exceeding $5 billion. His expertise spans the full evolution of the sector, from the earliest adoption of DSTs to the modern "Two-Step" 1031/721 structure. Notably, Jay launched one of the industry’s first institutional Two-Step platforms at Cantor Fitzgerald, facilitating approximately $1 billion in real estate transactions designed for future UPREIT consideration.

Jay serves on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) and on the editorial boards of ConnectMoney and Real Assets Adviser. A frequent speaker at major industry conferences, Jay is a recognized voice on private markets, wealth-channel innovation, and the modernization of access between institutional managers and individual investors. He has authored numerous thought leadership pieces and white papers covering a broad range of alternative investment topics, including infrastructure, real estate, and emerging investment structures. His insights into the evolution of the private markets and the 1031/721 landscape have helped shape the regulatory and educational framework for both institutional managers and the private wealth community.

Jay founded Sightbridge Capital Partners to extend that mission—building partnerships between leading alternative investment managers and the private wealth community through institutional discipline, transparency, and alignment.
